When determining the price to ask for puppies, we take several factors into consideration: Stud fees, travel or shipping, health screenings and other veterinarian costs. We also consider pedigree as well as various accomplishments (titles) of each particular dog. Then there's the entry fees and the months if not years of training that it took to earn their titles and bring those ribbons home. We do everything we can to make sure they will produce a puppy you would be proud to own.
We price all puppies in a litter equally instead of varying between gender and color. Your puppy will come with a full registration and without restriction in most cases. We provide a deposit agreement (see below) and should anyone in the BCR Family need to re-home their pup we want to be the first to know, they might just have to come home to Big Cottonwood.
Prices vary depending on each pairing. Please call for a price and availability. I would like to hear what qualities and attributes' you're looking for in your next Labrador Retriever.
Some of our girls are sired by (NFC) National Field Champions or (NAFC) National Amateur Field Champions (Best Dog in the Country that year) so their puppies will likely cost more than if they're sired by (GRHRCH) Grand Champions or (HRCH) Hunting Retriever Champions (Dogs achieving a Standard). We also give a lot of weight to dogs with titles of (FC) Field Champion and (AFC) Amateur Field Champion.
Keep in mind the initial cost of a puppy will more than likely be the least costly aspect of your new retriever. The old adage "You get what you pay for" couldn't be truer. Why take the chance on a "bargain" that hasn't had all the tests and screenings done just to save a few hundred when it might cost you thousands and heartbreak later?
