Great news! Winky passed all her OFA exams and earned her first of many titles in the Hunting Retriever Club.
I can't tell you how excited we were when Wink's mom Sochi came into season. It took about 10 minutes to decide we would be making a quick trip to see Fin down in Arkansas. We are happy to be able to carry on our line of yellow dogs that put us on the map. Sugar, Sochi and now Wink.
Pictured above is the view from the Web-Footed Kennels in Bono AR. Wink's daddy has free run of the place and knows every inch. Fin is Chris Akin's personal dog and goes wherever Chris goes. Fin has picked up thousands of ducks for him. Fin is one of the top producing Sires of all time in the Hunting Retriever Club. I would have never in a million years guessed when we started our endeavor of making puppies and competing with them that I would have the opportunity to get to know Chris. It's been an honor and a pleasure getting to know him.
It's also very fitting that it was Chris Akin's training program we followed when I was training Winky's mom Sochi. Duck Dog Basics can build as fine of a retriever as anyone could ever hope for!
