I first met Blitz when running my first Senior test. He was a big good looking stylish dog that walked all over his handler. Blitz basically, drug him to the line on hands and knees. It's an image I will never forget! Fast forward a couple of year when I'm training one day with Chris Jobman at Flatlander Kennels. The marks fall to the ground and Chris sends the dog on his name "Blitz". In a matter of 2 weeks this dog had learned that there are rules, and he was going to have to live by them. The next couple of years at Flatlander Kennels really paid dividends for Blitz and His owner, Bill. Blitz still has plenty of "GO" and loves his job but has become a true Team player. He became a Master Hunter, passed 2 Master Nationals and went on to pass 2 HRC International Grand Hunts. He recently earned the points required to earn the biggest titles there is, Grand Hunting Retriever Champion.
